ICP RAID Console When finished using ICPCON, the console log level can be set back to the default level using the following command: dmesg -n 7 This behavior is not observed if the ICPCON utility is used from an X-windows terminal window. 10.2.4 Launching ICPCON Under OpenServer To use the ICPCON program under OpenServer (2.x, 4.x and 5.x), substitute the standard terminal entry for a new one: cd /usr/lib/terminfo Enter tic src386.src Enter Before each loading of ICPCON, activate the terminal: TERM = src386 Enter export TERM Enter These two lines inserted in the .profile file are automatically processed during each login. The ICPCON program itself is copied during the OpenServer installation into the /etc directory. ICPCON is launched by entering: ICPCON Enter 10.2.5 Launching ICPCON Under UnixWare Launch ICPCON by typing the following at the prompt: ICPCON Enter 10.2.6 Launching ICPCON Under FreeBSD Launch ICPCON by typing the following at the prompt: ICPCON Enter 10.2.7 Un-installing the RAID Software Suite Warning: Uninstalling the RAID Software Suite (including the Windows device driver for the Controller) from a computer that has the operating system installed on a host drive will result in the inability to reboot the operating system. This could result in data loss. So if the boot drive is attached to the ICP RAID controller, do not remove the device driver from the system.
