Inserting and Removing Memory Cards The Adaptec Media Reader is equipped with four multi-format slots. The Figure below illustrates how to align your memory cards when inserting them into the card reader. SD / MMC / T-Flash (with adapter) / RS-MMC Mini-SD (LEFT edge) Reverse CompactFlash / Microdrive SmartMedia MS / MS-PRO / MS-Duo / MS-PRO-Duo Figure 1: Memory Cards Slots To insert a memory card into your Adaptec Media Reader: 1 Align the card as shown above. 2 Slide it into the correct slot as far as it will go. When the card is inserted correctly, it will protrude slightly from the Media Reader. 3 Most cards can be accessed with the top facing up except: ƒ Mini-SD: Insert the card into the LEFT edge of the slot with the pins facing up. ƒ SmartMedia (SM): Insert the card with the pins facing up. ƒ T-Flash: An adapter is required. Insert it with the top facing up. 11

To insert a memory card into your Adaptec Media
Reader:

Align the card as shown above.

Slide it into the correct slot as far as it will go. When the card is
inserted correctly, it will protrude slightly from the Media Reader.

Mini-SD: Insert the card into the
LEFT
