The M.I.X. mode switches each time the button is pressed. CD M.I.X. ↓ (OFF) ↓ All tracks on a disc will be played back in a random sequence, and the changer will shift to the next disc. (Factory default) Playback The DHA-S690 will play back MP3/WMA/AAC files stored on CDROMs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs. The format used must be compliant with ISO9660 level 1 or level 2. For further information about playing or storing MP3/WMA/AAC files, refer to pages 17 and 18 before using the unit. 1 Change the source on the head unit to the DVD changer or CD changer. Playback starts. 2 Press g or f to select the desired track (file). Returning to the beginning of the current track: Press g. Advancing to the beginning of the next track: Press f. Fast forward/Fast backward : When pressed for more than 1 second, the disc is forwarded/ reversed at double speed. When held for 5 more seconds, the disc is forwarded/reversed at 8 times the normal speed. When held for 10 more seconds, the disc is forwarded/ reversed at 32 times the normal speed. 3 To pause playback, press -/ J. Pressing -/ J again will resume playback. • MP3/WMA/AAC playback information (folder no., file no., tag information, etc.) will be displayed on the monitor during playback. • For MP3 discs, some time may be required until playback starts. • Some discs will not play back depending on the writing or MP3 conversion software used for the disc. In that case, try other software. • WMA format files that are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management), AAC format files that have been purchased from iTunes Music Store and files that are copy-protected (copyright protection) cannot be played back on this unit. • The unit can play discs containing both audio data and MP3/WMA/AAC data. • The playback time may not be correctly displayed when a VBR (Variable Bit Rate) recorded file is played back. • ASF/WAV/JPEG are the same as MP3/WMA/AAC controllable from the unit.
