Page 30 highlights

6.4 Emergency Master Reset • If at any time the Jukebox is completely stuck or frozen (no buttons work to get you back to browser mode) you can hold the "Off" button for 5 seconds and it will do a hardware reset of the Jukebox. 6.5 Updating the Firmware • Inside of the ARCHOS Jukebox FM Recorder is a small operating system that manages the operations of the Jukebox FM. From time to time, our engineers update this firmware to add new features or to fix features that do not function properly. To update the Operating System (OS) firmware, go to the ARCHOS website and download the zipped file. Upon unzipping it, you will find the new version of the OS (a file with the extension .ajz) and a revision history in a text file. • Connect your Jukebox FM to your computer and copy the .ajz file to the root directory (highest level folder) of the Jukebox FM hard disk. • Disconnect the Jukebox from the computer properly (see section 7 below) and shut off the Jukebox FM. The next time you turn on the Jukebox FM, it will recognize the new version of the operating system and execute it. 30

6.5 Updating the Firmware
Inside of the ARCHOS Jukebox FM Recorder is a small operating system that manages the
operations of the Jukebox FM.
From time to time, our engineers update this firmware to add new
features or to fix features that do not function properly.
To update the Operating System (OS)
firmware, go to the ARCHOS website and download the zipped file.
Upon unzipping it, you will find
the new version of the OS (a file with the extension
.ajz) and a revision history in a text file.
Connect your Jukebox FM to your computer and copy the .ajz file to the root directory (highest level
folder) of the Jukebox FM hard disk.
Disconnect the Jukebox from the computer properly (see section 7 below) and shut off the Jukebox
FM.
The next time you turn on the Jukebox FM, it will recognize the new version of the operating
system and execute it.
