Insert the cap/SIM card combination into the ARCHOS making sure that the shiny circuit side of the SIM is facing the same side as the ARCHOS screen as shown (a). If it resists being pushed in, adjust slightly (b) to allow it to go in smoothly. Push it downward until the top of the cap is flush with the top of the ARCHOS (c). 5a 5b 5c 5g removing the SIM Card ATTENTION: Before inserting or removing the SIM card, make sure the device is completely shut off! To remove the SIM card, use a pointed object such as wooden toothpick and pry the cap upwards as shown in order to be able to pull it out with your fingers. ATTENTION: repeatedly removing and reinserting the SIM card could damage the card. Charging the battery Before using your ARCHOS for the first time, completely charge its battery: 5 • Connect the USB cable to the ARCHOS and to a running computer. 5g • Connect the USB cable to the ARCHOS and to the USB charger/adapter, and connect the latter to a wall outlet. 7 • Simply plug the ARCHOS Charger/Adapter into the power connector. • The ARCHOS will turn on and start charging: - The CHG LED indicator is on while the battery is charging. It will blink when the battery is fully charged. - A lightning bolt symbol will flash over the battery icon in the upper right corner of the screen while the battery is charging. 7 Note that the ARCHOS 7 has a removable battery. REMOVING THE SIM CARD
ATTENTION: Before inserting or removing the SIM card, make sure the device is

CHARGING THE BATTERY
Before using your ARCHOS for the first time,

Simply plug the ARCHOS Charger/Adapter into the power connector.
