Finger tighten the jam nut, and then hold the adjuster body with pliers and tighten the jam nut with wrench. 1 ATTACHMENT DRIVE BELTS REPLACEMENT WARNING: ALWAYS remove key and-or wire from spark plug before assembly, maintenance or service. Unintentional engine start up can cause death or serious injury. OS7205 OS7210 2 3 1/2 - 11/16 in. (12.7 - 17.5 mm) 1. Place the unit into the service position (See Service Position on page 15). 2. Using new attachment drive belts (Part Number 07200601), place unit into the operating position (See Operating Position on page 16). TRACTION DRIVE BELT REPLACEMENT See Figures 17 through 20. 1. Remove attachment drive belts (See Attachment Drive Belts Replacement on page 22). Some components removed for clarity of illustration. 1 4 1. Traction Drive Clutch Spring 2. Jam Nut 3. Adjuster Body Figure 16 5. Measure the extension of the traction drive clutch spring. 6. Repeat step 4 until traction drive clutch spring lengthens 1/2 - 11/16 in. (12.7 - 17.5 mm) when the traction drive clutch lever is engaged. 7. Remove two rear cap screws from the bottom cover. Loosen four side cap screws and remove the bottom cover before separating unit. See Figure 19. 8. With the clutch disengaged, check that there is more than 1/32 in. (0.8 mm) clearance between friction disc and drive plate assembly. IMPORTANT: If spring length cannot be adjusted within specified range, See your Dealer for repairs. 9. 5. Measure the extension of the traction
drive clutch spring.
6. Repeat step 4 until traction drive clutch
spring lengthens 1/2 – 11/16 in. (12.7 –
17.5 mm) when the traction drive clutch
lever is engaged.
7. Remove two rear cap screws from the
bottom cover. Loosen four side cap
screws and remove the bottom cover
before separating unit. See Figure 19.
8. With the clutch disengaged, check that
there is more than 1/32 in. (0.8 mm)
clearance between friction disc and
drive plate assembly.
IMPORTANT:
If spring length cannot be
adjusted within specified range, See your
Dealer for repairs.
9. Install bottom cover with two rear cap
screws and tighten four side cap screws
