You may have to use another system to create the RAID driver disk from the system/motherboard support CD or from the Internet. Windows® 2000/2003 Server A floppy disk with the RAID driver is required when installing Windows® 2000/ 2003 Server operating system on a hard disk drive that is assigned to an array. To create a RAID driver disk from Windows® environment: 1. Place the system or motherboard support CD in the optical drive. 2. When the D r i v e r s menu appears, select the RAID driver disk you want to create. OR Browse the contents of the support CD to locate the driver disk utility. 3. Insert a formatted high-density floppy disk to the floppy disk drive. 4. Follow screen instructions to complete the process. 5. After creating a RAID driver disk, eject the floppy disk, then write-protect it to prevent computer virus infection. Red Hat® Enterprise ver. 3.0 UP5 To create a RAID driver disk for Red Hat® Enterprise ver. 3.0 UP5 system: 1. Insert a blank formatted high-density floppy disk to the floppy disk drive. 2. Decompress the file into the floppy disk from the following path in the support CD: For Adaptec AIC-7902W HostRAID driver disk : \Drivers\adaptec\aic7902\HostRAID\Linux\a320raid- 3.00.057-rhel3qu5.tar.gz (Please decompress the *.gz file into the local hard disk, and then decompress the a320raid-3.00.057-rhel3qu5.i686.img into the floppy disk ) 3.
