DEVICE DISCOVERY (CONT'D) Device Information Dialog Access the "Device Information" dialog from the main window by clicking on a device icon (see Fig. 21, "Device Information"). Device Name Device Address Device Type Device Bonded Last Seen Name assigned by owner of selected device. Unique Bluetooth address used to identify the device. Identifies the type of device (for example, PDA, Cell Phone, etc.) Displays "Yes" if a bond has been established. Bonding allows the device to bypass authorization and authentication. A bond can be created or broken via the "Actions" menu located at the bottom of the "Device Information" screen. Indicates the last date and time the device was discovered near your device. 26

Device Name
Name assigned by owner of selected device.
Device Address
Unique
Bluetooth
address used to identify the device.
Device Type
