Fixed dialing About fixed dialing If you turn on fixed dialing, you can only make calls to contacts that appear in your fixed dialing list. You can make an emergency call when fixed dialing is turned on, even if the emergency number does not appear in your fixed dialing list. If your wireless service plan includes SMS text messaging, you can also send SMS text messages to contacts that appear in your fixed dialing list. Prerequisites: Fixed dialing • Verify that your wireless service provider has set up your SIM card for this service. • Verify that your wireless service provider has provided you with a SIM card PIN 2 code. Turn on fixed dialing 1. In the phone, press the Menu key. 2. Click Options. 3. Click FDN Phone List. 4. Press the Menu key. 5. Click Enable FDN Mode. 6. Type your PIN2 code. 7. Click the trackball. To turn off fixed dialing, press the Menu key. Click Disable FDN Mode. Add a contact to your fixed dialing list 1. In the phone, press the Menu key. 2. Click Options. 3. Click FDN Phone List. 4. Click the trackball. 5. Click New. 6. Type your PIN2 code. 7. Press the Menu key. 8. Type a name and a phone number. 9. Press the Menu key. 10. Click Save. 32
