Appendices Appendix D: Using a desktop computer to connect to the network If you have a desktop computer, temporarily move the Acoustimass® module and SoundTouch™ wireless adapter near the computer to set up the W-Fi® network connection. The diagram below shows how to temporarily set up your Acoustimass® module and SoundTouch™ wireless adapter near your desktop computer. Once you have the components in place, follow the procedures in this guide to connect to your network. See "Adding the system to your Wi-Fi network" on page 10. After making the network connection, you can test the system to make sure everything works. When you are done, disconnect the Acoustimass® module from your computer and AC (mains) power and permanently install the stereo system. When you reconnect the Acoustimass® module to power, it reconnects to your Wi-Fi® network. See "Placing the speakers" on page 13. AC power cord Bose® link cable Acoustimass® module USB cable Note: Connect the USB cable to the SoundTouch™ wireless adapter only when the app instructs you to do so. English - 33
