1 Introduction Overview The Brother print server allows your Brother printer to be shared on a 10/100Mb Ethernet Network and 1 provides printing services for Windows® 95/98/Me, Windows NT® 4.0, Windows® 2000/XP supporting the TCP/IP protocols and Macintosh® supporting TCP/IP. To use the Brother printer through a network, you need to configure the print server, and set up the computers you use. In this chapter, you will learn the basic concept of the network connection and protocols, and in Chapter 2 you will read information on network configuration.
