Release (Down) a To lock down the upper looper 1) Turn the handwheel by hand in the direction of the arrow to lower the upper looper to its lowest position. 2) Next, move the chain stitch lever (upper looper release knob) in the direction of the arrow until it stops securely in the "Release" position (approx. 90°). 3) The upper looper will be automatically lowered and will not move up and down. IMPORTANT! After the upper looper has been locked and before starting to sew, turn the handwheel by hand one full revo- lution or more toward you (1) to confirm that the upper looper has been locked and does not operate. 4 zi;.t4,.. Sometimes
the
chain
stitch
lever
may
not
move
fully
back
90'.
However,
if
the
handwheel
is
turned
2-3
times
by
hand,
the
knob
will
automatically
return
to
the
"Operate"
position.
In
this
case,
do
not
force
the
knob
to
turn.
4)
The
upper
looper
will
be
raised
automatically
and
can
then
be
operated.
IMPORTANT!
Always
be
sure
to
operate
the
upper
looper
after
double
chain
stitch
sewing
has
been
completed.
At
this
time,
turn
the
handwheel
by
hand
one
full
revolution
or
more
in
the
direction
of
the
arrow
0
to
confirm
that
the
upper
looper
can
now
operate.
When
operating
the
