6 Make sure the BJ tank is correctly seated in its respective slot. If you are replacing both BJ tanks in the BC-11e Color BJ, repeat steps 2 through 5 for the other BJ tank. Close the front cover. 7 Press the CARTRIDGE button. The cartridge holder moves to the home position on the right. If you are not satisfied with the print quality after replacing a BJ tank, clean the print head. See Cleaning the Print Head on page 4-7. If after installing a new BJ tank, the printer seems to be printing but ink does not appear, stop the print operation. Make sure the BJ tank is seated properly. If necessary, clean the print head (see page 4-7). Storing a BJ Cartridge If you unwrap a BJ cartridge but do not install it in the printer, store it in the Ink Cartridge Storage box to prevent the print head from drying and clogging. 1 Open the Ink Cartridge Storage Box.
