Separation OFF Mode Use this separation OFF mode when you want to scan the following documents: • Thick documents • Documents that contain two or more pages together as one document • Documents that have a rough surface • Duplicate forms that have sticky edges Feed these documents one by one and press the Separation OFF Mode Button. Separation OFF Mode Button IMPORTANT For duplicate forms, load the side with the sticky edges toward the feeding entry point. Auto Power OFF Settings The CR-135i II/CR-190i II includes an Auto Power OFF function. When this function is enabled, the scanner will turn OFF automatically if no operations are performed for 4 hours. To enable or disable this setting, follow the procedure below. NOTE Depending on your country or region, the Auto Power OFF function may be enabled under factory default conditions. A Start Windows and log in as a user with administrator privileges. B Click the Start button, and then click [Control Panel], [Hardware and Sound], and [Devices and Printers]. C Right-click the [CANON CR-135i] or [CANON CR-190i] icon, and then click [Scan Properties] in the context menu. D If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, click [Yes] to close the dialog box. The [CANON CR-135i (or CR-190i) USB Properties] screen appears. E Click the [Maintenance] tab, and then select or clear the [Turn off automatically after 4 hours] check box. 36
