SNMP Setting, Community Setting, Description, Default Value

Item mDNS Description Default Value Enable/disable multicast DNS. This setting allows scanning applications to search for and automatically connect to the scanner. This is normally enabled. ON When the setting is disabled, you must manually specify the scanner using its assigned IP address to scan from the scanning application. SNMP Setting If you click [SNMP Setting] on the Device Configuration screen, the page below is displayed. Item Security Auth trap SNMP v1 Community Setting SNMP v3 User Setting Description Default Value Sets the SNMP authentication trap function to enabled/disabled. By setting this to [ON], if an SNMP request is received from a community that is not registered in [Community Setting], then a message is sent to the trap destination. OFF Sets the SNMP v1 support function to enabled/disabled. OFF Moves to the [Community Setting] screen. - Sets the SNMP v3 support function to enabled/disabled. OFF Moves to the [User Setting] screen. - Community Setting In the SNMP settings screen, enable SNMP v1 and click [Community Setting] to open the page shown in the following diagram. SNMP Setting
If you click [SNMP Setting] on the Device Configuration screen, the
page below is displayed.
Community Setting
In the SNMP settings screen, enable SNMP v1 and click [Community
Setting] to open the page shown in the following diagram.
