Problem 3: The printhead height adjustment lever is at the down position. Solution: Set the printhead height adjustment lever to the center position for normal printing. (Æ P.2-25) Problem 4: You are printing on thick paper. Solution: Make sure that the print height adjustment lever is set to the up position. (Æ P.2-25) Edges Smeared with Ink Problem 1: The selected Media Type is not correct for the media loaded in the paper supply source. Solution: Confirm the current selection for the Media Type. If the setting is not correct, stop the print job, select the correct setting, then start the print job again. (Æ P.2-7, P.2-18) Problem 2: Print media is curled or creased. Solution: Remove the creasing or curling then start the print job again. Problem 3: The cutting dust reduction function is switched on. Solution: If the cutting dust reduction function is not needed, use the operation panel to switch off this feature for the print media in use. Black Streaks Visible Problem 1: Printhead is out of alignment. Solution: Use the operation panel to adjust the amount of feed for the print media in use. (Æ P.7-36) Problem 2: Printing is not proceeding smoothly due to an interruption in the flow of data from the computer.
