6 Privacy Manager for HP ProtectTools Privacy Manager is a tool used to obtain Certificates of Authority, which verify the source, integrity, and security of communication when using Microsoft mail, Microsoft Office documents, and Instant Messenger. Privacy Manager leverages the security infrastructure provided by HP ProtectTools Security Manager, which includes the following security logon methods: ● Windows password ● HP ProtectTools Java™ Card ● Embedded Security for HP ProtectTools Basic User Key You may use any of the above security logon methods in Privacy Manager. Opening Privacy Manager To open Privacy Manager: 1. Click Start, click All Programs, and then click HP ProtectTools Security Manager. 2.
