Connect each storage subsystem's controller enclosure and disk enclosures to a guaranteed power source. 3. Power on all storage subsystem enclosure components as specified in the user documentation for the storage subsystem. 4. Power up all servers in the cluster. The storage subsystem is ready to operate when the green LED in the pushable RESET button on the array controller blinks at a rate of one time per second. This takes about one minute to occur. Installing the StorageWorks Command Console (SWCC) Client Install the SWCC Client software on the node designated as the maintenance server. To install the SWCC Client: 1. Insert the MA8000/EMA12000 Solution Software CD into the CD-ROM drive. 2. Run Windows Explorer. 3. Navigate to the folder DRIVE_LETTER:\SWCC\CLIENT (where DRIVE_LETTER identifies the letter for the CD-ROM drive). 4. Select Intel Client. Double-click on Setup. 5. Follow the setup wizard instructions to complete the installation. 6. Restart the server. Configuring a Storage Subsystem for Secure Path Operation Each new MA8000/EMA12000 Storage Subsystem is preconfigured with specific parameters. You may need to change these parameters, depending on which Fibre Channel SAN topology and cluster configuration you use. This subsection reviews the steps required to make these changes.
