4-8 Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O5000 for Oracle8i and Windows 2000 Administrator Guide Figure 4-1 shows the correct method for cabling the I/O path components for dual redundancy in a redundant Fibre Channel Fabric. In Figure 4-1, both Fibre Channel SAN Switches connect to port 1 on one array controller and to port 2 on the other array controller in each storage subsystem. If one Fibre Channel SAN Switch fails, the other switch still has access to port 1 on one array controller and port 2 on the other array controller in each storage subsystem. This configuration ensures that the host adapters can still access the full range of LUNs.
