Installation and Configuration 5-33 I Install the Secure Path software (Secure Path drivers, Secure Path Agent, and Secure Path Manager) I Specify the preferred_paths of the storagesets (units) to the array controllers I Create extended partitions After performing these procedures in sequence, the software configuration of your Secure Path storage environment will be complete. Description of the Secure Path Software Secure Path for Windows 2000 consists of two software components that are installed individually. The components are: I Server software (Raidisk filter driver, RAIDisk driver and SecurePathAgent) I Client software (Secure Path Manager GUI) Secure Path for Windows 2000 is managed by a client/server management application that requires TCP/IP to be installed. You must install the Secure path drivers and Secure path agent on all cluster nodes. You install the Secure Path Manager on each node in the cluster but run it from one cluster node. Although running it from one node minimizes network traffic; having it installed on all of the cluster nodes allows you to run it from another node if the node running Secure Path Manager is evicted from the cluster. Installing the Host Adapter Drivers To install the host adapter drivers: 1. From the Start menu, select Programs. Open Administrative Tools. 2. Select Computer Management. 3. Double-click on System Tools. 4. Double-click on Display Adapters. 5. Double-click on Compaq LP6000/LP7000/LP8000. A Properties screen appears.
