6-28 Compaq Parallel Database Cluster Model PDC/O2000 for Oracle8i and Windows 2000 Administrator Guide Note that Secure Path Manager client is not required to be running in order for Secure Path to protect path availability. The RaiDisk device driver running on cluster nodes handles Secure Path's protection capability. Refer to the Secure Path documentation for descriptions of the icons used to indicate changes in path and controller status. Identifying I/O Path and Array Controller Failures The icons and other information in the Secure Path Manager views can help you identify the source of I/O path and array controller failures. See the Secure Path documentation for detailed descriptions of the procedures for performing these activities. Uninstalling Secure Path To remove Secure Path software from your cluster, perform these steps from each cluster node: 1. Open the Control Panel and choose Add/Remove Programs. 2. Select SecurepathClient for Windows 2000 on RAID Array 4000/4100 v3.1 and click Change/Remove. 3. Click OK in the resulting window. 4. Select Securepath Server for Windows 2000 on RAID Array 4000/4100 v 3.1 and click Change/Remove. NOTE: The version numbers displayed here are subject to change. 5. Click OK in the resulting window. 6. Click YES to stop the Secure Path Agent so that the uninstall can proceed properly. 7. Restart the node. 8. Repeat steps 1 through 7 for all other nodes in the cluster. NOTE: To aid in the reinstallation of Secure Path, the file "client.ini" is not removed. The uninstallation process is complete.
