Removal and Replacement Procedures- Small Form Factor (SFF) Chassis 7.4 External Security Devices 7.4.1 Cable Lock The cable lock may be used to secure the computer access panel to the chassis and, at the same time, secure the computer to a fixed object. As shown, there are two acceptable methods for using the cable lock. While both methods work, for added security HP recommends that you use the method shown on the left where the cable lock penetrates both the access panel and the chassis. 7.4.2 Padlock A padlock may be used by itself to secure the access panel to the computer chassis. 7.4 External Security Devices
7.4.1 Cable Lock
The cable lock may be used to secure the computer access panel to the chassis and, at the same
time, secure the computer to a fixed object.
As shown, there are two acceptable methods for using the cable lock. While both methods work,
for added security HP recommends that you use the method shown on the left where the cable
lock penetrates both the access panel and the chassis.
