TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE = MOTOR PROBLEM PROBLEM CAUSE Brake does 1. Motor brushes not sealed notstop blade or lightly sticking. within 10 2. Motor brake overheated seconds. from use of defective or wrong size blade or rapid ON/OFF cycling. 3. Arbor bolt loose. 4. Brushes cracked, damaged, etc. 5. Other. SUGGESTED CORRECTIVE ACTION 1. Inspect/clean/replace brushes. See MAINTENANCE section. 2. Use a recommended blade. Let cool down. See REMOVING OR INSTALLING THE BLADE section. 3. Retighten. See REMOVING OR INSTALLING THE BLADE section. 4. Replace brushes. 5. Contact Sears Service Center. Motor does not start Brush spark when switch released. 1. Limit switch failure 2. Brush worn. 3.
