Enabling UPnP™ for Windows® XP UPnP™ is short for Universal Plug and Play, which is a networking architecture that provides compatibility among networking equipment, software, and peripherals. The DCS-5605/DCS-5635 is a UPnP™ enabled Camera. If your operating system is UPnP™ enabled, the device will be easier to configure. If you do not want to use the UPnP™ functionality, it can be disabled by unselecting "Enabled" on the DDNS/ UPnP™ settings page under Advanced in the configuration menu.
