DGS-1250 Series Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Switch CLI Reference Guide Command Mode RA Guard Policy Configuration Mode. Usage Guideline Use this command to set the role of the attached device. By default, the device role is host, and all the inbound router advertisement and redirect messages are blocked. If the device role is set to router, all messages, Router Solicitation (RS), Router Advertisement (RA), or redirect are allowed on this port. Example This example shows how to create an RA guard policy named "raguard1" and set the device as host. Switch# configure terminal Switch(config)# ipv6 nd raguard policy raguard1 Switch(config-ra-guard)# device-role host Switch(config-ra-guard)# 53-3 match ipv6 access-list This command is used to filter the RA messages based on the sender IPv6 address. Use the no form of this command to disable the filtering. match ipv6 access-list IPV6-ACCESS-LIST-NAME no match ipv6 access-list Parameters IPV6-ACCESS-LIST-NAME Specifies a standard IPv6 access list. Default None. Command Mode RA Guard Policy Configuration Mode Usage Guideline Use this command to filter RA messages based on the sender IP address when the interface device role is set to router. If the match ipv6 access-list command is not configured, all RA messages are bypassed. An access list is configured using the ipv6 access-list command. Example This example shows how to create an RA guard policy and matches the IPv6 addresses in the access list named list1. Switch# configure terminal Switch(config)# ipv6 nd raguard policy raguard1 Switch(config-ra-guard)# match ipv6 access-list list1 Switch(config-ra-guard)# 405
