xStack® DGS-3620 Series Managed Switch Web UI Reference Guide Parameter Description DHCP Server State Click the radio buttons to enable or disable the DHCP Server State. Ping Packets (0-10) Enter the numbers of ping packet that the Switch will send out on the network containing the IP address to be allotted. If the ping request is not returned, the IP address is considered unique to the local network and then allotted to the requesting client. 0 means there is no ping test. The default value is 2. Ping Timeout (10-2000) Enter the amount of time the DHCP server must waits before timing out a ping packet. The default value is 100. Click the Apply button to accept the changes made for each individual section. DHCP Server Exclude Address Settings The DHCP server assumes that all IP addresses in a DHCP pool subnet are available for assigning to DHCP clients. You must use this page to specify the IP address that the DHCP server should not assign to clients. This command can be used multiple times in order to define multiple groups of excluded addresses. To view this window, click Network Application > DHCP > DHCP Server > DHCP Server Exclude Address Settings as shown below: Figure 9-9 DHCP Server Exclude Address Settings Window The fields that can be configured are described below: Parameter Description Begin Address Enter the starting IP Address. End Address Enter the ending IP Address. Click the Add button to add a new entry based on the information entered. Click the Delete All button to remove all the entries listed. Click the Delete button to remove the specific entry. DHCP Server Pool Settings This window is used to add and delete the DHCP server pool. To view this window, click Network Application > DHCP > DHCP Server > DHCP Server Pool Settings as shown below: 395
