Important Safety Instructions General Safety Precautions To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury or death when using your appliance, follow basic safety precautions, including the following: WARNING • Make sure that only those individuals that use the appliance are able to operate it properly. Do not leave children alone or unattended in the area around the appliance. Do not allow children to play with the controls or other parts of it. • Unplug the appliance if a failure occurs while it is in use. • If the unit is not operating properly, it should not be operated unless it is being repaired by a qualified service technician to avoid the risk of electric shock. • Connect this appliance only to a properly grounded, three prong electrical outlet protected by a circuit breaker or time delay fuse. The outlet must be installed by a qualified electrician. The customer is responsible to make sure that the proper electrical outlet has been installed. • Do not plug in the refrigerator if the electrical outlet is loose. • Never touch the power plug with wet hands! Never unplug by pulling on the cable, always disconnect by grasping the plug. • Unplug the appliance when not in use. • Unplug the unit during installation, maintenance, cleaning and repair. • To avoid the risk of electric shock, never wash the appliance by pouring water onto it. • Never connect your refrigerator to electricity saving systems. Such systems are harmful for the appliance. WARNING • Do not perform any installation or repair procedures other than those specified in the literature accompanying the appliance. All installation and repair procedures must be carried out by a qualified service technician. • Never use a steam cleaner to clean this appliance. An electrical shock hazard will result. • Do not use mechanical devices or other methods to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer. • Never allow anyone, including children, to sit, stand or climb on any part of the appliance. Stepping or sitting on any part of it may result in tipping, damage, serious injury or death. • To avoid a safety hazard and/or risk of fire, do not damage the cooling system with drilling or cutting tools. • Do not cover or block the ventilation holes on or in the refrigerator with any material. • Store alcoholic beverages tightly capped and in a vertical position. • Do not use gaseous sprays near the refrigerator to avoid a risk of fire or explosion. • Do not store or use combustible materials, liquids or gases near this or any other appliance. • Do not place containers filled with liquid on top of the refrigerator. Spillage will result in an electric shock hazard or risk of fire. 2

General Safety Precautions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious injury or death when using your appliance,
