20 PROBLEMS TO BE RESOLVED BEFORE CALLING THE SERVICE CENTER If the appliance is not working, the causes of the malfunction can be identified and resolved by referring to section 19. If, on the other hand, a general alarm is on, run the following checks before calling the service center. PROBLEM The coffee is not hot CAUSE SOLUTION • The cups have not been preheated • The infuser is too cold • Heat the cups by rinsing them in hot water or leaving them for at least 20 minutes on the cup warmer tray on the lid (see section 6, note 3). • Heat the infuser by pressing the button before making the coffee (fig. 12, see section 6, note 3). • The coffee is ground too coarsely The coffee is not creamy enough • Wrong type of coffee is being used • Turn the grinding adjustment knob one click toward the number 1 (see section 8). • Use a type of coffee for espresso coffee makers.
