Remove the battery from the computer. 3. Remove the keyboard from the computer. 4. Remove the access panel from the computer. 5. Remove the four screws that secure the hard drive to the computer. 6. Slide the hard drive toward the side of the computer, disengaging the hard drive from the system board. 7. Lift the hard drive and remove it from the computer. Back to Contents Page

Removing the Hard Drive
1.
Follow the procedures in
Before Working Inside Your Computer
.
2.
Remove the
battery
from the computer.
3.
Remove the
keyboard
from the computer.
4.
Remove the
access panel
from the computer.
5.
Remove the four screws that secure the hard drive to the computer.
6.
Slide the hard drive toward the side of the computer, disengaging the hard drive from the system board.
7.
Lift the hard drive and remove it from the computer.
