Default Configuration There are no static RP addresses configured by default. Command Mode Global Configuration mode User Guidelines There are no user guidelines for this command. Example console(config)#ip pimsm rp-address 192.168.20.1 225.1.0.0 255.255.255.0 ip pimsm rp-candidate The ip pimsm rp-candidate command is used to configure the router to advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point (RP) to the bootstrap router (BSR). Use the "no" form of this command to disable the router to advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point (RP) to the bootstrap router (BSR). This command deprecates the ip pimsm crppreference command. Syntax ip pimsm rp-candidate vlan vlanid group-address group-mask ip pimsm rp-candidate vlan vlanid • vlanid - A valid VLAN ID. • group-address - Group IP address supported by RP. • group-mask - Group subnet mask for group address. Default Configuration The router does not advertise itself as a PIM candidate rendezvous point by default.
