Running Diagnostics in Microsoft Windows The first time you run the Broadcom diagnostics program on NetXtreme II (5708) devices in a Microsoft Windows environment, the Windows operating system will automatically install the diagnostics driver for the program. You may be prompted during the driver installation to specify the directory location of the driver, bxdiag.inf. Specify the directory where you unzipped the Broadcom driver package. If the file bxdiag.inf does not exist on your hard drive, you can run the Broadcom Installer setup.exe from the zip package included on the DSA Service Mode CD, or from the zip package downloaded from support.dell.com. Running the installer will place the diagnostic driver on your hard drive and prepare it for automatic installation for when you run the Broadcom diagnostics program.
