NOTE: The proxy server must be up and running before you configure your system to use it. ○ Use the controls to select the number of the port that will be used to connect to the proxy server in your network. • For the Direct Connect with Remote Access option: ○ If your network connection uses a proxy server, specify the IP address of the proxy server. NOTE: The proxy server must be up and running before you configure your appliance to use it. ○ Use the controls to select the number of the port that will be used to connect to the proxy server in your network. ○ If you intend to use a Policy Manager to control remote access to your system, specify the IP address of the Policy Manager. NOTE: The Policy Manager must be up and running before you configure your appliance to use it. ○ If the port that will be used to connect to the Policy Manager is different than the default (9443), type the number of the port that will be used in your network. 6. Depending on which type of SupportAssist option you select, do one of the following: • For either the Direct Connect without remote access or Direct Connect with Remote Access options, go to the next step. • For either the Gateway Connect without remote access or Gateway Connect with Remote Access options, select Test Connection to check the status of the connection to the gateway server. NOTE: If the Connectivity Status appears to remain as Transitioning and does not change after several minutes (the time it should take to test connectivity), contact Online Support. 7. Select Send Test Alert to send a test alert to Dell EMC Support to ensure end-to-end connectivity. 8. Ensure the Contact Information that is shown is accurate. Correct any information that appears incorrect or outdated. Your SupportAssist Contact Information is critical for quick response to support issues and must be accurate and current. 9. Depending on which type of SupportAssist option you select, do one of the following:

For either the
Gateway Connect without remote access
or
Gateway Connect with Remote Access
options, select
Test
Connection
to check the status of the connection to the gateway server.
NOTE:
If the Connectivity Status appears to remain as
