Removing the battery 1. Follow the procedure in Before working inside your computer. 2. Remove the base cover. 3. To remove the battery: a) Peel the adhesive tape that secures the battery cable connector to the system board [1]. b) Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [2]. c) Remove the 4 (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the palmrest and keyboard assembly [1]. d) Lift the battery away from the system [2]. 18 Removing and installing components

Removing the battery
1.
Follow the procedure in
Before working inside your computer

Remove the
base cover
.
3.
To remove the battery:
a)
Peel the adhesive tape that secures the battery cable connector to the system board [1].
b)
Disconnect the battery cable from the connector on the system board [2].
c)
Remove the 4 (M2x3) screws that secure the battery to the palmrest and keyboard assembly [1].
d)
Lift the battery away from the system [2].
