16 Using your TV Reducing video noise (snow) To reduce video noise (snow): 1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens. Picture Sound Time Picture Mode Contrast Brightness Color Tint Sharpness Color Mode Setup Lock Standard Cool Channel 50 50 50 0 50 Select Move MENU Exit 2 Press or to select Setup, then press . The Setup menu opens. Picture Sound Time Setup Lock Channel Menu Language Transparency Zoom Mode Noise Reduction Advanced Closed Caption XVS Restore Default English Off Wide Weak Off Select Move MENU Exit 3 Press or to highlight Noise Reduction, then press or to select an option. You can select Weak, Middle, or Strong. To turn off noise reduction, select Off. 4 Press MENU to return to the previous menu, or press EXIT to close the menu. Optimizing the picture To optimize the picture: 1 Press MENU. The on-screen menu opens. The Sound menu opens. Picture Sound Time Setup Lock Channel Sound Mode Bass Treble Balance Surround AVC SPDIF Type Audio Language Standard 50 50 50 On On PCM English Select Move MENU Exit 3 Press or to select an option, then press or to adjust the option. You can select: • Sound Mode-Selects the sound mode. You can select Standard (for normal programs), Music (for musical programs), Movie (for movies), or Personal (for a customized sound mode). You can also press AUDIO one or more times to select the sound mode. • Bass-Adjusts the low sounds. • Treble-Adjusts the high sounds. • Balance-Adjusts the balance between the left and right audio channels. • Surround-Turns the surround sound effect on or off. • AVC-(Auto volume control) Equalizes the overall volume levels for all channels.
