MAINTENANCE Read all of this manual to become thoroughly familiar with this vehicle. Pay particular attention to all Notices, Cautions, Warnings, and Dangers. TRANSPORTING VEHICLE TOWING This vehicle is not designed to be towed It is recommended that the vehicle be moved by placing the entire vehicle on a trailer, flatbed truck or other suitable transport. NEUTRAL LOCK To prevent the driven clutch from turning the rear wheels during service operations, a lock is located under the passenger side of the console panel. To operate, turn the key switch to 'OFF' and raise the passenger seat. Place the direction selector in the 'F' position. Reach under the passengers side of console panel and rotate the lock lever clockwise until it snaps into the slot in the direction selector bracket as shown. Next, pull the direction selector handle to the rear until it locks in place in the position. When in this position, the direction selector remains locked in the position. To activate the direction selector, pull the lock lever out of the slot and rotate counter-clockwise until it snaps into the detent position in the direction selector bracket. Never ride on the vehicle being transported. Always remove the windshield before transporting. If the vehicle is to be transported at highway speeds, the sun top must be removed and the seat bottom secured. When transporting vehicle below highway speeds, check for tightness of hardware and cracks in sun top at mounting points. Always remove windshield when transporting. Always check that the vehicle and contents are adequately secured before transporting. The rated capacity of the trailer or truck must exceed the weight of the vehicle (see GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS for vehicle weight) and load plus 1000 lbs. (454 kg). Secure the vehicle using ratchet tie downs. 5- 9
