Fixed Problems Problem AX100SC, AX100SCi, AX100, AX100i. One or more virtual disks and RAID Groups disappear after an SP reboots. (119661, 119105, 117351, 117665, 118887, 121446) AX100SC, AX100SCi, AX100, AX100i. Unbinding a virtual disk while hot spares are swapped in will cause CRU signature errors. (121545, 121069, 122843) Detail Fixed in Release: 02.17.xxx.5.006 Solution: This happened only after a RAID Group create failed. One or more virtual disks and RAID Groups on the same disks could disappear after an SP rebooted. Fixed the code to clean up properly after the failed RAID Group creation to avoid the problem. Fixed in Release: 02.17.xxx.5.006 Solution: The unbind code invalidates all CRU partition signatures. This was causing the hot spare's CRU signature to be corrupted. Changed the code to invalidate only CRUs that do not have a hot spare swapped in so the corruption does not occur. Also added a check in the unbind code to determine if the virtual disk is rebuilding to a hot spare and return an error if it is. 10 EMC AX100-Series Integrated Management Software Release Notes

One or
more virtual disks and RAID Groups disappear
after an SP reboots. (119661, 119105, 117351,
117665, 118887, 121446)
Fixed in Release
: 02.17.xxx.5.006
Solution
: This happened only after a RAID Group create
failed.
One or more virtual disks and RAID Groups on the
same disks could disappear after an SP rebooted.
Fixed
the code to clean up properly after the failed RAID Group
creation to avoid the problem.
AX100SC, AX100SCi, AX100, AX100i.
Unbinding
a virtual disk while hot spares are swapped in will
cause CRU signature errors. (121545, 121069,
122843)
Fixed in Release
: 02.17.xxx.5.006
Solution
: The unbind code invalidates all CRU partition
signatures. This was causing the hot spare’s CRU signature
to be corrupted. Changed the code to invalidate only CRUs

does not occur. Also added a check in the unbind code to
determine if the virtual disk is rebuilding to a hot spare and
return an error if it is.
