Troubleshooting 21 Troubleshooting - What to check when problems occur Problem Poor ice quality (soft or unclear). Unit produces shallow or incomplete cubes, or the ice fill pattern on the evaporator is incomplete. Possible Cause x Poor incoming water quality. x Ice-making system is dirty. x Low water level. x Hot incoming water. x Incorrect incoming water pressure. x Unit is not level. Remedy x Consult a qualified plumber to test the water quality and recommend appropriate treatment. x Run unit through automatic clean cycle. See Maintenance. x Check to see that overflow tube is fully seated. x Connect the unit to a cold water supply. See Installation. x Water pressure must be 20-120 psi. x See Leveling the Unit. Water leaking from under the unit. x Supply line leaking. x Fill tube leaking. x Bin drain leaking. x Check to see that the water inlet line is attached to inlet valve properly. See Connecting the Water Supply. x Check connection at water valve outlet. x Check integrity of bin drain hose and clamp. Ice storage bin full of water. x Obstructed drain. x Check to see that storage bin drain opening is free from obstruction and debris.
