Installation instructions Grounding requirements o Electric dryer (Canada} For a grounded, cord-connected dryer: 1. The dryer MUST be grounded. In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding will reduce the risk of electrical shock by a path of least resistance for electrical current. . Since your dryer is equipped with a power supply cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug, the plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. If in doubt, call a licensed electrician. DO NOT modify the plug provided with the appliance. Grounding requirements Grounding type wall receptacle / Do not, under any circumstances, cut, remove, or bypass the grounding prong. o Gas dryer (USA and Canada} 1. The dryer is equipped with a three-prong (grounding) plug for your protection against shock hazard and should be plugged directly into a properly grounded three-prong receptacle.
