Main Menu > Network Tab Update Sub Tab The Update sub tab shows the status of any software you are uploading to your unit. Network Tab The Network tab shows all devices connected to your GPSMAP 3006C/3010C and the Garmin Marine Network, and the status of each. You can assign a name or identifier to each device on your network. Main Menu • Update-updates software on your unit. • Prepare Card-updates software for devices on the Garmin Marine Network. When selected, information about your network installation is collected and saved to a data card. Use the data card with Marine Updater on your personal computer to download software updates for your system. Using Marine Updater, you can put all of the software updates on a data card. When you put the data card into the unit, it updates the software for all devices on the network. Check the Garmin Web site (www.garmin.com) for future updates and announcements. 66 To check the status of a device: Use the ROCKER to highlight the device. The status of the network device is shown in the Status window. To assign a name to a device on the network 1. Use the ROCKER to highlight the device, and then press ENTER to highlight the Name field. 2. Use the ROCKER or data entry keys to enter a name for the device. 3. Press ENTER when finished. Update Sub Tab
The Update sub tab shows the status of any software you are uploading to your
unit.

—updates software on your unit.

—updates software for devices on the Garmin Marine
Network. When selected, information about your network installation is
collected and saved to a data card. Use the data card with Marine Updater
on your personal computer to download software updates for your system.
Using Marine Updater, you can put all of the software updates on a data
card. When you put the data card into the unit, it updates the software for
all devices on the network. Check the Garmin Web site

) for future updates and announcements.
Network Tab
The Network tab shows all devices connected to your GPSMAP 3006C/3010C
and the Garmin Marine Network, and the status of each. You can assign a name or

To check the status of a device:
Use the
ROCKER
to highlight the device. The status of the network device
is shown in the Status window.
To assign a name to a device on the network
1.
Use the
ROCKER
to highlight the device, and then press
ENTER
to
highlight the
Name
field.
2.
Use the
ROCKER
or data entry keys to enter a name for the device.
3.
Press
ENTER
when finished.
NOTE:
The GPSMAP 3006C/3010C connects to a GPSMAP 4000/5000 series
but cannot share cartography.
