2.DIALLING AND ANSWERING After setting up your phone, you can dial and answer calls. This Section provides a basic overview for reference purposes. 2.1Power On/Off Press and hold to turn on the phone; and a power on display will flash on-screen. If phone requests PIN code entry, input it to continue. (Refer to Section1.2.3) Pressing and holding again will turn off the phone. 2.2Dialling When the logo of the network service provider shows on-screen, your phone is in standby state and you can dial and answer calls. The icon in the top left corner displays the strength of the signal received by the phone and current signal strength is indicated by the number of bars on the screen (5 bars maximum). Call quality may be weakened by obstacles. Changing the direction of the phone may enhance signal strength. There are many ways to make a call in standby state, e.g. dialling directly, dialling from your contacts, speed dialling, or dialling by location. 2.2.1Dialling directly 18
