OPERATION AUTOMATIC OPERATION: (1) Insert automatic (long) spindle. (2) Short manual spindle may be stored in the slot provided at the top rear surface of your cabinet until needed. For 45 rpm records, place the 45 rpm adapter over the automatic spindle. (3) Lift the stabilizer arm and swing it to the right. (4) Stack up to six records of the same size and speed. (5) Replace control arm over the record stack. (6) Set levers for correct record size and speed. (7) To start, move the OFF-ON-REJECT lever through ON to REJ. (8) To reject record, move the lever to REJ. After last record has played, pickup arm will return automatically to its locking rest and unit will shut itself off. MANUAL OPERATION: (1) Lift stabilizer arm and move it to the right. (2) Insert short manual spindle. (3) Place record on turntable and return stabilizer arm to center. (4) Set levers to correct record size and speed. (5) To start, move OFF-ON-REJECT lever to ON. (6) Set stylus on record. Shut-off will be automatic and the pickup arm will return to its locking rest. NOTE: If the stabilizer arm is not returned to the center position, the changer will continue to cycle and repeat playing the record until it is manually turned off. This is also true for automatic play on the last record only. LUBRICATION: Do not attempt to lubricate the mechanism. Factory lubrication is normally sufficient for quite some time. However, in order to keep the unit in top operating condition, have it lubricated and checked once a year by a qualified technician. THE HARMAN-KARDON SC6 CONTROL CENTER VENTILATION: The HARMAN-KARDON SC6 Control Center is fully transistorized, producing very little heat and thereby extend- ing the life of all the components. To maintain proper ventilation and insure low operating temperatures, at least 1 inch of air space should be provided from the rear of the cabinet to the wall when installing your system. The rear panel surface of the receiver has been designed as a heat sink (a device which dissipates heat) for the output transistors. This area will become warm under normal use. This is normal and should not cause concern. POWER REQUIREMENTS: Connect the AC line cord into any outlet furnishing 117 volts, 50 or 60-cycle AC current. The voltage may vary between 105 and 125 volts. An AC convenience outlet is located on the rear panel of the receiver. This outlet is "switched"

provided
at
the
top
rear
surface
of
your
cabinet
until

For
45
rpm
re-
cords,
place
the
45
rpm
adapter
over
the
automatic
spindle.
(3)
Lift
the
stabilizer
arm
and
swing
it
to
the
right.
(4)
Stack
up
to
six
records
of
the
same
size
and
speed.
(5)
Replace
control
arm
over
the
record
stack.
(6)
Set
levers
for
correct
record
size
and
speed.
(7)
To
start,
move
the
OFF
-ON
-REJECT
lever
through
ON
to
REJ.
(8)
To
reject
record,
move
the
lever
to
REJ.
After
last
record
has
played,
pickup
arm
will
return
automatically
to
its
locking
rest
and
unit
will
shut
itself
off.
MANUAL
OPERATION:
(1)
Lift
stabilizer
arm
and
move
it
to
the
right.
(2)
Insert

manual
spindle.
(3)
Place
record
on
turntable
and
return

correct
record
size
and
speed.
(5)
To
start,
move
OFF
-ON
-REJECT
lever
to

(6)
Set
stylus
on
record.
Shut-off
will
be

arm
will
return
to
its
locking
rest.
NOTE:
If
the
stabilizer
arm
is
not
returned
to
the
center
posi-
tion,
the
changer
will
continue
to
cycle
and
repeat
play-
ing
the
record
until
it
is
manually
turned
off.
This
is
also
true
for
automatic
play
on
the
last
record
only.
LUBRICATION:
Do
not
attempt
to
lubricate
the
mechanism.
Factory
lubrication
is
normally
sufficient
for
quite
some
time.
However,
in
order
to
keep
the unit
in
top
operating
condition,
have
it
lubricated
and
checked
once
a
