ADJUSTING THE SPEED CONTROL OPERATING This unit is provided with a fine speed control that can be precisely adjusted as fol€ows_ 1. Place the STROBOSCOPE DISC provided with the turntable on the PLATTER MAT. • 2. Place the SPEED SELECTOR in the 33 or 45 position in accordance with disc speed. 3. Bring the TONEARM over the PLATTER MAT with the CUE lever lifted, and the PLATTER will automatically begin to rotate. Then observe the striped markings on the STROBOSCOPE DISC under fluorescent light. 4. Adjust the SPEED CONTROL until there is no ap- ;p;.Lo parent movement of the markings Turn the SPEED CONTROL to the left and the marks will move to the left, turn it to the right and they will move to the right. 1 . Turn down the volume of your receiver to the minimum position. 2. Turn on your receiver and select the phono function ac- cording to the owner's manual of the receiver. 3. Place the disc on the PLATTER MAT. If this is a 45 RPM disc, you wid need to use the center hole ADAPTOR provided with the turntable. 4. Set the SPEED SELECTOR to the 33 or 45 position. 5. Flip the CUE lever up to lift the TONEARM, then bring the TONEARM over the disc $'49Y • and the PLATTER begin to rotate. Then flip the CUE lever down and the TONEARM wil, be lowered and the record will begin to play. 6. Slowly rase the volume of receiver up to your desired listening level. 7. If yoc wish to stop a record from playing before its end is reached, press the CUT button. Tne TONEARM will automatically lift and return to the ARMREST. The PLATTER wil stop turning and power will be switched off. B. At the end of the disc, the TONEARM will automatically .-ift and return to :he ARMREST. The PLATTER will stop turning and power will be switched off. 7
