Power connector cable Description Power connector cable Spare part number 931613-001 Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 34). 5. Remove the optical drive (see Optical drive on page 36), if installed. 6. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 45). 7. Remove the display (see Display assembly on page 72). To remove the power connector cable: 1. Disconnect the power connector cable from the system board (1). 2. Remove the cable from its routing path in the computer (2). 3. Use a tool to pry the connector out of the computer (3), and then remove the power connector cable (4). Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable. Before removing the power connector cable, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is

3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by

unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then

6.
Remove the bottom cover (see

7.

To remove the power connector cable:
1.
Disconnect the power connector cable from the system board

2.
Remove the cable from its routing path in the computer
(2)

3.
Use a tool to pry the connector out of the computer

, and then remove the power connector cable

Reverse this procedure to install the power connector cable.
