Prepare the computer for disassembly (Preparation for disassembly on page 25). 2. Remove the bottom cover (see Bottom cover on page 26). 3. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 28). Remove the touchpad: 1. Disconnect the cable from the ZIF connector on the touchpad (1). 2. Remove the protective tape and sponge from the touchpad. 3. Remove the two Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screws (2) that secure the touchpad bracket to the computer, and then remove the bracket (3). 4. Remove the three Phillips M2.0 × 2.0 screws (4) that secure the touchpad to the computer, and then remove the touchpad (5).
