RTC battery Description RTC battery Spare part number 599516-001 Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 36) b. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 37) c. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 39) d. Palm rest (see Palm rest on page 48) Remove the RTC battery: 1.
