Connector board cables, Release the ZIF connectors

Connector board cables NOTE: The connector board cables are included in the Cable Kit, spare part number L92200-001. Before removing the connector board cables, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the keyboard/top cover (see Keyboard/top cover on page 24). 5. Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see Battery on page 35). Remove the connector board cables: 1. Release the shielding (1) that covers the connector board cable ZIF connectors. 2. Release the ZIF connectors (2) to which the connector board cables are connected, and then disconnect the connector board cables from the system board. 3. Release the ZIF connectors (3) to which the connector board cables are connected, and then disconnect the connector board cables from the connector board. 4. Remove the connector board cables (4). Reverse this procedure to install the connector board cables. Component replacement procedures 39

Connector board cables
NOTE:
The connector board cables are included in the Cable Kit, spare part number L92200-001.
Before removing the connector board cables, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet, and then

4.

5.
Disconnect the battery cable from the system board (see

Remove the connector board cables:
1.

the connector board cables from the system board.

Release the ZIF connectors

to which the connector board cables are connected, and then disconnect
the connector board cables from the connector board.
4.
Remove the connector board cables

Reverse this procedure to install the connector board cables.
