Use only the 6-32 x .375 in Phillips pan-head screws to attach the retainer brackets to the chassis. Use of incorrect screws might damage components. Procedure for 9U Interconnect To remove a 9U system interconnect from the rack, use the following procedure: 1. Bring the cluster to an appropriate state for switch component removal and put the rack into a safe and stable state for component removal. 2. At the rack's power distribution unit (PDU), power off the circuit that supplies power to the interconnect. 3. Prepare a suitable work surface and clear a pathway for removal of the interconnect. Ensure that there are no cables or other obstructions underfoot. 4. At the front of the rack, a blanking plate covers the rear of the interconnect. Remove the six torque screws holding the blanking plate (Figure 5-9), then disconnect the interconnect's power supply cable. Procedure for 9U Interconnect
To remove a 9U system interconnect from the rack, use the following procedure:
1.
Bring the cluster to an appropriate state for switch component removal and
put the rack into a safe and stable state for component removal.
2.
At the rack’s power distribution unit (PDU), power off the circuit that supplies
power to the interconnect.
3.
Prepare a suitable work surface and clear a pathway for removal of the
interconnect. Ensure that there are no cables or other obstructions underfoot.
4.
At the front of the rack, a blanking plate covers the rear of the interconnect.
Remove the six torque screws holding the blanking plate (Figure 5-9), then
disconnect the interconnect’s power supply cable.
