Cabling the Server WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock or damage to the equipment: • Install the power supply before connecting the power cord to the power supply. • Unplug the power cord before removing the power supply from the server. • If the system has multiple power supplies, disconnect power from the system by unplugging all power cords from the power supplies. • Do not disable the power cord grounding plug. The grounding plug is an important safety feature. • Plug the power cord into a grounded (earthed) electrical outlet that is easily accessible at all times. WARNING: To reduce the risk of electrical shock or fire, do not plug telecommunications/telephone connectors into the network interface card (NIC) receptacles. CAUTION: To prevent data corruption, do not connect the server to a low line power source (110 VAC). Low line power is not supported. To cable your server: 1. Connect the power cords and peripheral devices such as the keyboard, mouse, and monitor. NOTE: When the power cord is connected, the IMD display should light up, indicating that the server is in Standby mode. HP ProLiant DL760 Generation 2 Server User Guide 6-3
