Installing Hardware Options, Server Power Off 7. Insert the processor board into processor board slot 2 of the module (1). 8. Push down the processor board lever until it is secured by the lever latch (2). Figure 4-4: Installing the processor board 9. Replace the processor and memory module into the chassis. NOTE: Processor board 2 need not be installed for the server to run. If only one processor board is installed, be sure the processor board air baffle is in place to provide optimal airflow. 10. Connect all power cords and power up the server. If the system does not power up, verify that the system interconnect LEDs are normal. Refer to the section, "System Interconnect Status Indicators" in Chapter 7. 11. Be sure that the processor has been installed correctly. Check the processor frequency, cache size, and socket location by reviewing the POST messages on the system console or processor information listed under the System Information Menu of the IMD (refer to Chapter 9).
