printing a document Follow these instructions to print a document: 1. Open the file you want to print. 2. Follow one of these paths to open the Printer Properties dialog box: r Click File > Print, then select Properties. r Click File > Print Setup, then select Properties. r Click File > Print > Setup, then select Properties. The Printer Properties dialog box appears. 3. In the Setup screen choose a print quality, a specific paper type, the appropriate paper size, and page orientation. 4. Click OK to return to the Print or Print Setup screen. 5. Click OK to print. printing in grayscale For grayscale printing, your HP Deskjet 3300/3400 series printer must have a black print cartridge installed. If a tri-color print cartridge is installed, remove it so that only the black print cartridge remains in the print cartridge cradle. Be sure to store the tri-color print cartridge properly.
